Network Map

View the relationships between entities in a free form network map. Modifying the depth of the map will change the size and scale of the network map.

Hierarchical Diagram

View the relationships between entities in a directional, tiered view. This mode is especially useful for viewing the lineage between entities in the Data Catalogue.

Single Direction Flow

When Single Direction Flow is enabled, only entities with a consistent direction to or from the selected entity are shown. This means that only entities that directly affect or are directly affected by the selected entity are shown in the map.

This is the default flow when viewing the Network Map in the Data Catalogue. If you prefer to see all entities related to the selected entity no matter its relationship, use Multidirectional Flow.

Multidirectional Flow

When Multidirectional Flow is enabled, all entities related to the selected entity are shown.

This is the default flow when viewing the Network Map of an Asset in the BI Catalogue. If you would prefer to see entities that only directly affect or are directly affected by the selected entity, use Single Direction Flow.

Zoom

Use the zoom buttons to modify your view of the Network Map.

If you find that the entities are not ideally positioned even after modifying the zoom of the map, you can use the Scale button to automatically place the entities in positions that make best use of available screen space.

Scale

Clicking the Scale button will automatically position entities in the map so that they make best use of available screen space.

Reset

Use the reset button to release all pins on entity positions and return to the default zoom.
